[ That was actually quicker than he'd expected... ] Certainly. So, uh. What can you say about me? Or, what should I say about me, you think?

Well, what are your talents? You're charming and attractive, that much is obvious, but what can you do?

[ He gives a thoughtful hum. He can take the most valuable item or items—say, a painting—to a place of safety... and be sure no one can find it again. ] I can... I have an appreciation of the finer things in life and am more than happy to treat someone else to them.

I don't know it's something that quite sells, you know. [ He's been gambling again, but that certainly doesn't sell, either. Should he bother mentioning the arts at all? He's quite knowledgeable in that. ]

Mmm, it doesn't. All I've got so far is 'Simon Newton, a man of class and taste...' [ and that's it. paaaaause. That's it. ]

[ He sighs. ] That bad, yeah? All right, I like long walks through galleries and museums. I like to look at and talk about art, the aesthetics of things... Lately, I've been finding other people's worlds very interesting, very exciting. The way people light up when the talk about themselves, powers and other things—I don't know, it probably sounds ridiculous, but there's something beautiful about it. About them.

[brushoff]

Since this is for the date auction, I think it'd be nice to tell a little bit about what you'd do if bid on.

Thanks, I like it. Short and sweet. [ He hums in thought. ] Now, what... would I do if bid on?

I'd probably try to get to know the winner, find out about their interests and hobbies, compromise on where we'd go. Though, I think it would be nice to have a fancy dinner, and then have a cab chauffeur us on a night-long tour of the best evening sights in the city. Maybe after that, see where the mood takes us.

[brushoff]

That's a grand date—I might have to bid on you myself.

So you are planning on going? [ He chuckles. ] I should have figured as much.

[ Though he highly doubts he's the only one holding Dorian's attention. ]

A challenge! [ it's really obvious that, even over the phone, he's just GRINNING. ] And you know what Simon, I accept.

[ Another laugh, more amused. Simon must be smiling, and is possibly really flattered (maybe even blushing) at Dorian's attention. Can't be certain on the phone, but that's what imagination is for. ]
