[ He perks up a little, much more interested now. ]

Go on then. What sort of news is it?

[She steps back a little from him, smile wide and bright on her face.]

Kaz and I eloped in port. [She holds up her hand, gold band glinting in the light.]

[brushoff]

[ He looks at the ring. Then looks back at Trixie. Then looks at the ring again.

Letting out a bright, happy laugh, Dorian pulls Trixie right back into that hug. ] Christ, I'm so glad you did! Trixie, that's wonderful!

[She joins him in that laugh, throwing her arms around his neck and holding him tightly.]

Glad you're happy about it. We didn't want to deal with the waiting anymore, dragging our fucking feet, you know?

[brushoff]

Oh, I don't blame you. If you were waiting for the perfect time, it never would have shown up.

[ He gives her a small squeeze before, ]

I'm so happy for you.

And the planning was driving us both fucking nuts. Expectations, real or fucking imagined, you know?

[She pulls back a little.]

You ain't mad you missed it?

I won't lie, I'd have loved to see it, [ Dorian admits. ] But if you're happy, I'm happy.

[A nod.]

You deserve this, [ he smiles. Because of course she does. If anyone on this ship deserves a happy ending, it's Trixie. She needs something nice in life. ]

If anyone gives you shit about eloping, tell me and I'll give you gossip on them in return.

[She grins and takes Dorian by the hand, pulling him to the kitchen to fetch a celebratory drink.]

[ Dorian lets out a happy laugh as Trixie yoinks him towards the kitchen. Yep. Drinks time. ]

Why not use gossip for evil! If I'm going to learn about others' secrets, why not use it for my own gain.

You won't hear me complaining, unless you're gonna turn that gossip on me. Then I'll have to twist your fucking stones off.

[ But the wide smile on his face tells Trixie that he's joking around. ]

[She looks pensive.] Vodka. And then I'll show you some pictures.

Absolutely! [ With a wide smile on his face, Dorian makes his way over to the kitchen, gesturing for Trixie to follow. ]

Honestly, if you wanted something picturesque, this was the place. Better your wedding photos were in an open field and a green glade instead of a fucking run-down dinosaur research station.

Wouldn't have cared one fucking way or another, so long as my man was looking as handsome as he was that day.

[She's swooning a little just thinking about it.]

Well go on! [ he laughs. ] Tell me about the event itself!

I'm getting there, [ he grins, walking back to the kitchen. And hey, don't mind Dorian as he instantly starts to make a couple of whiskey sours for the both of them. ]
