When I came to the Barge, Toby's body was being used as a puppet by Lucifer. [ you know, normal things. ] My first deal was to destroy his body entirely.

But that isn't the point. What matters is how you think about Florian and how he treated you, not how you mourn him.

[Emotional vulnerability isn't his strongest point. In fact, he doesn't even know what the hell he's doing with his own feelings. But Dorian continues to Not Get It, and Johann wants to just bust his head against a wall.]

I was supposed to protect him, Dorian. He wasn't a stupid soul mate, he was the entire reason I existed. He treated me exactly how I wanted him to.

If you can't understand that, then you might as well go the fuck home.

Does that file go into specifics about how Toby returned? What brought him back to life around 2014 or so?

I didn't get that far.

Toby was my everything. He came back to life because I wanted him. There was a moment where I had my heart's desire granted; that was to see him again. And so I did. And then I lost him again. And honestly? I've made my peace with that. I don't mind not seeing him again.

And I came here with Florian's blood still dripping on my hands.

And you expect me to slander him immediately. To move on.

I don't want you to slander him. I'll be blunt, my goal is literally just to make you admit he's flawed. He's not perfect. He's not this wonderful man you think he is.
