Pity that all these new experiences would range from 'awful' to 'fucking terrible.'

Oh, not all of them are so bad. I've yet to have an experience here that's worse than something back home! Not to say there isn't still time.

Yeah, I got eaten by a dinosaur, [

There are so many dull ways to die! 'Interesting' doesn't make it better, but at least it stands out. And it can mean you're less likely to run into things that remind you of it!

True! I can safely say that none of my other deaths have been

I still think 'interesting' has too positive a connotation to be used when talking about all the lovely ways you bit it.

You probably have a point. Hmm. Unexpected? Unsought and yet too present? Just making it clear that it was a big dinosaur?

If I want to be base about it, 'fucking weird' might suffice.

True, but I try to save swearing for when there's really nothing else that will do.

You're missing out. I find profanity quite diverting.

I found that it was when I was learning, but after I got to be okay at it, didn't take up enough mental energy.

That just means you need to try new turns of phrase. Want me to teach you some British swears?

I rarely object to learning new things.
