Just thought I'd check on the degree to which this is "I wanted to see what happened" versus "I taunted him a little too much and he decided today was the day to take it literally."
If I had to choose between the two, I'd say that it's definitely more the former than the latter.
Honestly, I don't think Sephiroth would do that sort of revenge, retaliation, 'fuck you' whatever against me? What we have is weird, but I don't think it's dismembering because I hate you levels of weird.
