Christ, how Dorian hated Texas.

It was the best and worst of America. There still was so much space, plenty of towns barely hanging on, hardscrabble little places that were trying to make their move, the drive and determination and chutzpah that Dorian adored of the America in the past. America in the 1920s was great. A feisty nation, determined to prove itself on the world's stage, bright and brilliant and ready to take on the challenge.

But the Texas cities? The cities were horrible. Large, ugly things almost crushed under the weight of their own self-importance and overpasses. Forgotten centers where all residents fled to cookie-cutter nigh identical houses set in towns created solely for the purpose of commuting. People didn't thrive in places like that, with their subdivisions and big box stores and fucking Targets. You lived there, but you didn't thrive. And Dorian Gray was always looking for something new, something bright and breathing and alive.

Granted, a shitty little dive bar wasn't exactly what most people thought of when they thought of 'alive.' But Dorian had been lingering around Dallas long enough that a few things had gained his interest. The coming out of the closet, so to speak, of vampires had been the big one. Idly, he wondered what Toby would have thought of it all—he felt so alone for so long. Would vampire advocacy groups or these cute little pamphlets have changed anything? Or would the Sunday morning cable news services about how all vampires are damned have made things worse? There's no way of knowing. But Dorian wanted to learn more about this himself.

Try as he may to fit in, it's obvious that Dorian is here for something. He flirts with the waitress and casually asks a few questions about vampire activity in the area. He loses a game of pool but presses his competition whenever they bring up 'fangs.' This is the third day in a row he's made some not-so-subtle inquiries about vampires, something's got to give eventually. He's British as hell, the accent is a dead giveaway, so might as well lean into the obviousness and see what happens.

And as he slips out of the back door of the dive bar, stepping outside to light up a cigarette, Dorian's certain that something will happen. What precisely? He doesn't know.

"Don't be a martyr," Dorian points out, with a frown. "I'm offering. You can't kill me, if that's what you're worried about. And you can't turn me either."

[loveisall]

He had lost the contact with Dorian before, so he knows it's true. But there is still a part of him that resists. He shouldn't need to do this. He is an abomination now, and he sees the effect of what his people have done. He sees how they act.

They shouldn't be alive.

He shakes his head again, turning his face away from Dorian.

[brushoff]

Dorian gets up from his seat, solely to walk over to Godric. He kneels down on the floor so he can take Godric's hand, squeezing it a little in reassurance.

"I'm worried, you know? You looked horrible when I came in here and you've gotten worse since then. I don't want to see what would happen if things got any worse. I've been bitten by other vampires before, I know what I'm offering. And I'm offering this of my own free will. Isn't that the best way to go about this?"

This is absolutely a bit blatant and bit guilt-trippy, but Dorian doesn't care.

Godric glances to the door and nods to Stan, who walks out and closes it and locks it behind him. They can get out, but no one can get in.

He sighs. "I hate what I am sometimes," he admits and doesn't move away.

[brushoff]

"That makes two of us," Dorian says, without hesitation, as he walks over to Godric.

"But at least this way, the lovely regenerative factor of my immortality has some use beyond traumatizing myself and others."

[loveisall]

He pulls him close and wraps an arm around his waist. "That...my dear Dorian...is a truth that I needed to hear from you."

And then he leans in and his teeth sink into his neck.

[brushoff]

Dorian lets out a little groan of pleasure as Godric's fangs sink in. This feels phenomenal. He is blatantly turned on, even before you take into account all the fun little things vampire bites can do.

Dorian looks over at Godric as much as he can, love and devotion in his eyes.

[loveisall]

He steps forward. Dorian is taller than him, but he aims to press him against the wall, drinking deeply as the coppery warmth touches his tongue.

He hasn't fed in weeks and he is struggling to keep his cool now.

[brushoff]

Dorian is a receptive partner. He doesn't move away, he doesn't try to push back, he just lets Godric drink as much as he likes. After all, what's the worst that happens? He dies? Doesn't take.

Dorian lets out a loud, sensual groan of pleasure, indulging in the beautiful pain that comes with Godric's fangs.

[loveisall]

He eventually does pull away, breathing out once, color returning to his cheeks. "Dorian," he mutters and draws him into a deep kiss.

[brushoff]

Dorian returns the kiss, grinning all the while. "God, that makes me feel fantastic. You have no idea how wonderful this feels from my end."

[loveisall]

He slides his hands to Dorian's and presses him back again, trying to pin him against the wall. "I want you, Dorian Gray. Tell me no and I will leave you here, free and unharmed."

But he hasn't had blood like that in a long time. He can feel it burning through him, igniting deeper feelings than he ever thought possible.

[brushoff]

"Fuck me up," Dorian grins. "I wouldn't have offered otherwise."

[loveisall]

He looks up to him, trying to read his expression.

"Dorian. Now is not the time to be glib."

[brushoff]

Dorian is eager, a wide grin on his face. Glib though he is, it's obvious he wants to be absolutely wrecked. This intensity is something he wants something he yearns for.

"I'm serious. I wouldn't have offered if I wasn't."

[loveisall]

So Godric kisses him again, fierce and bruising, pinning him against the wall. He presses himself against Dorian and, for the first time, Dorian will be able to feel his own desperate want.

"You are mine," he snarls through fangs.

[brushoff]

It's just two men who desperately want this, desire and lust mingling with each other into a passionate and inevitably messy breaking point.

"Prove it," Dorian grins. "If I'm yours, then prove it. Claim me."

[loveisall]

He finally decides to move away and strips out of his shirt, though he doesn't stay far away. He keeps him close, a hand on his stomach.

[brushoff]

Dorian adjusts his position so that his neck is easy to reach. One hand snakes around Godric's body, solely for ass-squeezing purposes.

[loveisall]

Godric yanks him back and tries to throw him onto the floor instead. Dorian's much too tall; it's better to take him down a bit.

Also Godric likes to see him like that.

It's a very, very guilty realization that he leans into entirely.

[brushoff]

Dorian hits the floor with a thud and a loud laugh. Any bruises he might have had will inevitably vanish in the next few moments. Right now he's looking up at Godric with a wide grin on his face.

"Better pin me down," he teases, as he (deliberately slowly) starts to make his way upright.

[loveisall]

Godric is there in a lightning fast movement, one hand on Dorian's throat as he reaches down to stroke his cock.

"You can simply ask for this," he tells him with some amusement. "You do not have to try and provoke me."

[brushoff]

"I know. But sometimes provoking is fun," Dorian lightly teases. "But yes. Pin me down. I'll struggle and try to wriggle out of your grasp, but the struggle is worth it. Denial is fantastic."

[loveisall]

"I am starting to learn what you like, and it is no wonder you are popular," he mutters, sinking teeth into his neck again.

[brushoff]

"I'm vampire catnip," he laughs before letting out an absolutely shameless groan as Godric's teeth sink into his neck.
