[ and yep, Dorian's waiting outside that bar, pretty much just checking his watch and waiting. ]

[Abduxel actually arrives early so that he could hide around a corner, which is why he gave so much time. In his palm is that small ceremonial knife, the one he'd lamented leaving at home at their last meeting. He's been practicing, and wants to show someone. Maybe Dorian will like it. He won't bleed long, and for that reason, Abduxel is also... curious... what happens then?]

[And what better to do than use an unsuspecting fellow as a guinea pig!]

[Heart leaping with excitement when he sees his victim friend, he sneaks up behind Dorian, though possibly detected at the last moment, and grabs onto him from behind, that little knife pricking skin in a quick, efficient slash - aiming for the forearm, where he wouldn't cut clothing. A few demonic words uttered quickly under his breath (probably as Dorian turns in surprise) and suddenly Dorian will see...]

[A beach. White sand, bright sun, waves. The smell of salt water, the hot, dry air, seabirds cawing. Men and women on the beach but - uh - what - they have no faces, their faces are all smooth. In a split second, suddenly the humans' proportions warp, the palm trees crumple like paper, the sky falls and it ends.]

[Because his cut is closed already. And Abduxel is standing there, dressed in all black, the city gray and dark while he grins at Dorian expectantly.]

[ Dorian can't help but let out a small yelp of pain as the knife connects with the skin. And then...he's on the beach. On the beach, smelling salt water, watching people who really aren't people because of their lack of faces.

And it ends just as quickly as it started. Dorian can't help but give Abduxel a look that is utterly confused because what the hell. ]

Not that I didn't enjoy my brief flash to Florida, but what the hell was that?

[abduxel]

[He starts laughing. Like a lot.]

It worked!

[He puts a hand on Dorian's arm, grinning.]

I wanted to show you something - bloodcraft.

[brushoff]

It's very impressive. [ but Dorian's still confused ] So what, can you show me your memories? Or was that just something you came up with?

[abduxel]

I used my memory to start with, but I tried to make more, too. [He's still grinning.] The people. Ah, missed some details.

[brushoff]

I saw, [ Dorian remarked, waving a hand over his face to show that he understood the details. ] Can you do that with other people's memories or just your own?

[abduxel]

I can do all sorts of things. [He gestures to the bar.] Shall we?

[brushoff]

Let's. [ walking to the bar, Dorian just assumed Abduxel was following him. Pushing open the door, he looked around. ]

The bar or table?

[abduxel]

Let's get a booth. I like the privacy. I don't do well with bars. [He follows.]

[brushoff]

Privacy it is. There's something more intimate about booths to begin with anyway.

[ and, with a nod to the waiter, Dorian slipped in a nearby booth ]

[ Abduxel slides in as well, sitting across from Dorian. Picking up on their earlier conversation, ]

I wanted to show you - I thought you might be interested. I'm best, really, at picking up on the memories of others. But I'm hoping to broaden my skill-set.

[ He watches Dorian closely. Wondering if he'll connect this with the incident during the age plot. But he won't bring it up, himself. ]

[brushoff]

[ Picking up on the memories of others...wait a moment. It hits Dorian like a ton of bricks. Shaking his head, he grins at Abduxel ]

So that lovely bit of nostalgia I had was you?

[abduxel]

[ The winning grin that appears on Abduxel's face, his eyes practically twinkling, is answer enough. ]

[brushoff]

Again, you're wicked.

[abduxel]

Glad you think so. [All smiles.]

Also glad to see you're looking like your normal self again. I was... older as well, but in a different way.

[brushoff]

Probably better looking than my older as well, [ he said with a siiiiiigh ]

It's a shame I didn't show you, actually. I was pretty grotesque, to be honest. Fangs and claws, spikes, extra eyes...

[brushoff]

I would say 'maybe next time,' but I doubt either of us want a next time to begin with.

[abduxel]

I was extra powerful, so that was nice.

But no, overall it wasn't pleasant. I had a hard time resisting the temptation to use them. As you experienced. Usually, I have good self-restraint.

[brushoff]

This was just the exception to prove the rule, I suppose?

[abduxel]

...Yes, let's go with that.

It's the easiest way to wave it off, after all. [ said with a wave of his hand ]

Anyway, aside from the memory thing, what else can you do?

Theoretically, anything I want, if I can find the words to make the spell. There are a lot of things I've never tried.
